Movement has always been my medicine — it helped me find balance, peace, and a sense of belonging in my own body. Over twenty years ago, I stepped into my first yoga class. During Shavasana, I felt something I had never experienced before — a deep stillness, a moment of truth, a gentle reunion with my soul. That moment changed everything.
But as the years passed, I noticed how difficult it is for women to find a space and time where deep self-care truly comes first. In our society, it’s celebrated when women show up at the gym, go for runs, and push their bodies — and yes, movement is medicine — but often, something essential is missing.
What we are truly longing for is connection: to our inner being, to our goddess, to the lioness within — the woman who carries the sacred wisdom of all generations, who knows when to rest, when to rise, and when to roar.
For many years, I used movement as a tool for my mental health — a way to stay strong and balanced. But I realized that sometimes, even movement can become another way to avoid feeling. The real transformation began when I learned to move with breath, to welcome stillness, and to become a gentle witness of myself.
Simhi Yoga was born out of this realization — out of necessity. It’s a sanctuary for women who are ready to slow down, tune in, and remember who they truly are. Through yoga, breathwork, meditation, and self-awareness, I want to help you find your own tools to reconnect, heal, and awaken the lioness within. Hari Om, Verena
